The iPhone 7 has been a huge hit since its release, but it turns out not everyone’s happy with what it has to offer. The biggest issue? The lack of a headphone jack. Fuze is here to change that, however, with an iPhone 7 case that has a built in headphone jack.
The case is being launched through an Indiegogo campaign, which had raised $19,361 of its $60,000 flexible goal at the time of this writing. The case basically plugs into your phone’s Lightning port, after which you’ll use the case’s built-in Lightning port and the headphone jack that resides right next to it. Pretty cool, huh?
As is always the case with these kinds of products, there is a trade-off — the case adds quite a bit of extra bulk to your sleek and stylish iPhone 7. Fortunately, all that extra bulk is being put to good use, as the iPhone 7 case has its own 2,400mAh battery. If you’re getting the case for the iPhone 7 Plus, you’ll get even more battery life, as that case packs a hefty 3,600mAh battery.
Of course, the case also acts as, well, a case. It’ll protect your precious iPhone 7 from scratches and most drops with its built-in shock protection.
The case will be available in five different colors — white, black, gold, rose gold, and blue. If you want one for yourself, head to the Indiegogo campaign, where you can order one for $59 if you manage to get in as an “early bird backer” or $69 if you don’t. Once the Indiegogo campaign is over, the case will retail for $69.
If you’re fine with the extra bulk, this seems like a pretty good deal. Just under $70 is only a little more than what you would have to spend on dongles and adapters if you want to charge your phone and listen to music at the same time — that adapter will set you back $40.
