The fact that you have to buy a data plan is BS. Not everyone can afford that. What if I just want this phone for the media capabilities, not the email or browsing? It is an “iPod” afterall, I want it for music playback.

1. Anyone who had an unlimited data plan on AT&T or Verizon or Sprint is actually saving $20/month with the iPhone plans. After two years, that's $480 they've saved. It pays for itself.

2. I don't know what nonsense you're talking about “expensing” this or that, but the iPhone does email, unparalleled web surfing, and reads Word and Excel files out of the box. Plus its visual voicemail will allow a lot of business people to save a great deal of time and money. Expense that.

3. Most Apple stores have a lot of iPhones in stock. The online store lists a 2-4 week wait. Here in NYC I didn't have to wait at all; I just walked over to the Apple store, and walked out with an iPhone 2 minutes later.

I think you should use an iPhone before you write any more about it. Those Microsoft checks still coming on time?
