New 2011 Mac mini pictures

Apple unveiled its new Mac mini hardware today, which now boasts a Thunderbolt port and does away with the optical disc drive. The device is 7.7-inches across and 1.4-inches thin and comes pre-loaded with OS X Lion. It can be configured with up to 8 GBs of memory as well. Apple is continuing to move away from bulky desktop units without cutting quality, but that means the unit will cost you and starts at $599. But don’t let the Mac mini’s diminutive size make you doubt its capabilities: It packs Intel Core i5 and i7 processors as well as the new AMD Radeon HD graphics card for a notably enhanced performance.
