Samsung Galaxy Tab pictures

Piggybacking on the success of their Galaxy S line of smartphones, Samsung has released the Galaxy Tab. The device will feature a 7-inch 1,024 by 600-pixel display, and like their Galaxy S phones, the Galaxy Tab will run on Android 2.2. The tablet is expected to compete with Apple’s iPad, and it offers some features the iPad currently lacks, such as Flash support, front and rear facing cameras, and microSD support for additional storage. The Galaxy Tab is powered by a 1 GHz Cortex processor along with 512 MB of RAM.  It also features 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, and 3G connectivity.

Samsung has not announced pricing or any potential carrier partners for the device in the U.S. or in other markets.

Check out the video below to see the tablet in action.

To that end, we've collected some of our favorite Samsung laptop picks in various price ranges and performance categories. That way, you can focus on your actual needs rather than being overwhelmed with deciphering the very similarly-named Samsung laptops.
