MLB at Bat 11 for iPad ($9.99)

ESPN ScoreCenter XL (Free)
If you’re a sports fan of any kind, perhaps the best app you can download is ESPN’s ScoreCenter XL. The app covers hundreds of global leagues and features video highlights, live play-by-play, in-game statistics, game previews and recaps, and even the classic ESPN news and score ticker at the bottom of the screen. The myTeams section of the app gathers news, analysis and video only of your favorite teams, and users can choose to receive push alerts for scores and game starts.

Just played sudoku race on iPad. And it’s free. Cool competitive version of sudoku. But addictive so be careful ;-)
My favorite: Facetasks – a contact-centric task manager. Simple and neat.
You keep track of your own todos but also your contact's

Earth Flags HD – In case you want to find out complete details of flags of countries all over the world then you can download 'Earth Flags HD' to your iPad. Apart from respective flags of the countries you can also find more information on capital cities, extension areas, calling codes, currencies and internet TLDS of the countries.
You can see maps of many places as well. The newer version has a renovated interface with additional maps such as satellite, hybrid and standard maps.
You can listen to anthems of all the countries covered by the app. New features are added to the app every once in a while. There is a version for iPhone and iPod as well.
