Jaguar unveils the C-X16 concept car at Frankfurt Auto Show

The Jaguar C-X16 is a concept hybrid electric sports car unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show. It’s said to be the smallest car Jaguar have made since the XK120 of 1954. The drivetrain comprises a hybrid unit, a supercharged 3-liter V6 engine, electric motor and an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. Performance wise, Jaguar has given figures stating that the the C-X16 can achieve 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 186 mph. While the car can run on engine alone, battery alone, or a combination of the two, under the the electric motor the top speed maxes out at 50mph.
