Super-Sedans

So you want a true family car, one with actual leg-room in the back seats, but you still like to make out to track days every now and then. BMW, Lexus, and Mercedes-Benz have each created what could be called a super-sedan. Each of these cars starts in the mid-fifty thousand dollar price range, comes with a custom-built V8 producing over 400 HP, and can get to 60 MPH in about 4.5 seconds. All three cars qualify as a comfortable and stylish daily driver – they are refined with all of the standard luxuries you would expect from BMW, Mercedes, or Lexus. All in all you are not sacrificing any comfort by choosing one of these as a daily driver, and when it comes to track day they will still perform with the best.

Slowly, but surely, Mercedes-Benz is building electric versions of all of its different cars -- and it looks like a smaller electric G-Wagon may be coming up soon. Mercedes first announced an all-electric EQG in 2021, but even before the car is officially available to buy, the company is already planning a baby one too, affectionately dubbed the "Little G."

There's still a lot we don't know about the smaller electric G-Wagon. Here, however, is everything we do know so far.
Design
Design is a huge part of what makes a G-Wagon a G-Wagon. Because of that, it's almost certainly something that Mercedes won't compromise on.

Charging is changing in the U.S. -- and quickly. Tesla has all but won the war for the standard charging connector, meaning that charging will likely get a whole lot more convenient in the near future. But on top of that, charging networks are also expanding -- with the likes of Mercedes-Benz jumping in on the action.

Earlier this year, Mercedes announced that it would be building charging stations in partnership with MN8 Energy. More recently, it shared that it was finally planning on opening up the first of these stations in October.
