Monster Micro: Big sound from a small, obedient speaker

We think the convenience of portable, battery operated Bluetooth speakers are great, but their sound quality and loudness are often less than impressive. The rare exceptions are speakers like the Braven 600 and the speaker featured in this video, the Monster Clarity HD Micro.

Like the Braven, Monster’s tiny Bluetooth speaker operates on superior Bluetooth codecs, apt-X and AAC, works as a speaker-phone and packs some impressive bass punch; but the Micro can play quite a bit louder and bears  the distinction of being a slave to both your fashion sense and voice commands.

In this video from Monster’s offsite exhibit during CEDIA 2012, we get a close look at the Monster Micro’s colorful, interchangeable grills and get a demonstration of its voice-command system.
