This is a piece of expensive crap. The noise cancellation, everything looks and works great and had no complaints, but the fit is useless. I have to keep adjusting this all day. Pops off your ear very often. The provided ear hooks proved no purpose at all. I actually had the earpiece fall off when I look up or try to drink from the a bottle. I got so pissed off at this crap that I threw it vary hard on the drive way and put myself out of this misery.

I purchased the Jawbone on the recommendation of a friend after my 8th Plantronics Voyager refused to take a charge. While each one lasted, it was by far the best headset ever made. Unfortunately, I didn't unpack and try the Jawbone until long after my return rights had expired. It cannot be properly fit even after paying (yes I said paying) for the new and improved (not!) earbuds made available by Aliph. The worst, absolute worst part of this piece of expensive trash is that it requires constant adjustment in your ear and each time you touch it (pretty much anywhere) it disconnects your call. I don't know how I have avoided stroking out already. My final act with this torture trinket will be to gleefully place it under the tire of my car and listen as the life is slowly crushed out of it and I am put out of my misery. I'm going back to the Voyager 510. It may only last a few months until it fails but damn, it works great during that time!

With the new Jawbone 2 Bluetooth Headset comes fitting problems for many. The Jawbone 2 has a 'Voice Activity Sensor' that rests on your cheek and detects if you are talking so it can filter out background noise accordingly.

Included in the box are a few earbuds and loops to accommodate different users. This is the source of the Jawbone 2 fitting problem. Getting the Jawbone 2 to fit properly on my ear was a bit challenging. I tried various earbuds and flexed the earhook several times to get it to stay put but it never felt comfortable and often come loose. It would be better if the earhooks provided were more flexible. They are the type that require a lot of force and even still tend to go back to their original shape.

Plantronics Discovery 925 soft ear gel is one of the most comfortable ear gel on the market today and it is a direct replacement for the rubber earbud on the Jawbone 2 bluetooth headset. They fit very nicely on the Jawbone 2 Bluetooth Headset, are extremely comfortable, and hold the jawbone 2 in perfect position on the face for the noise cancellation to work. The Jawbone 2 was worthless with the included earhook and rubber earbud fittings. I could not make them fit, and without good face contact, the Jawbone 2 noise cancellation does not work. Plantronics Discovery 925 Soft ear gel allows me to comfortably wear and use the Jawbone 2 without an earhook while doing a lot of moving around. In fact, I don't think I could shake the headset off my head if I was doing the 'DUTTY WINE'

The Plantronics Discovery 925 soft ear gels are the ultimate solution for the Jawbone 2 Bluetooth Headset fitting problem, and they are going to make a lot of potentially disappointed Jawbone 2 customers happy. They come in three sizes, large, medium and small. I recommend buying all three sizes to determine your best fit.

I've got one of the original Jawbones and have experienced some of the same problems with fit, and the charging plug pulling off the end cover of the unit. I've been hoping that the new unit would be better fit/comfort but reading what's posted it doesn't sound like it's any better. I've tried a Plantronic's 815 but that sounded bad as the ear gel actually sealed your ear canal. It didn't let the ambient sound through with the effect of having one half of headphones on, which was distracting. I'll keep checking on other reports of the new unit and maybe try one with the understanding that I'd return it if it's not any better.

An expensive disappointment! It is attractive to look at, but sound quality was not what I expected, the buttons are hard to use and easy to use incorrectly, the ear buds fit poorly, and worst of all, the jaw contact bounced around on my face when I moved, so the sound cut in and out all the time. I'm going back to Plantronics.

LQQKs awesome! Sleek, Sexy Small and Very CoOL. They even have one in classy colors for women! However! As a functioning Earpiece? Really REALLY!! Bad.... The rubber boots they give you are to BIG and don't fit into the ear, Unless your 70 and have giant ear holes at that point. The Ear Loops break easy. They hurt behind the ear if worn for any period of time. When your trying to make adjustments by pressing the hidden buttons, You have no idea WHAT! your doing. Does not press against your jaw, so that makes it sound awful on the receivers end. Sound quality is poor and very tinny to the other person.

I will give it this... its' a great looking $130.00 ear bug that serves absolutely no purpose.

They got us again... on Looks and Style.

D.

I traded in my original Jawbone for the smaller Jawbone 2 thinking it would stay in place better because it was smaller and lighter. WRONG! The J-2 does not have the same spring loaded ear piece that kept it against my jaw so the sound canceling does not work. Not one of the three ear buds will stay in my ear so I can't hear very well. The new one flops around and falls off. It is unusable and I'm going to return it.

Very expensive for what you get. Sound is not a whole lot better than my other blue-tooths (Jabra and Plantronics. I went through the earloops (which break easily) in less than a month. It never really fits comfortable; falls off ear continuously (no matter how you fit the pieces). I am thinking of returning it and going back to a Jabra or Plantronics. You would think they could design a full blue-tooth without all the gadgets!

The sound, I think all who own it would agree, is the best. But the ear hooks were very difficult to get on and off quickly and finding an earpiece that fit properly wasn't any easier. The earpiece was loose once in my ear, and that was with the best ear bud and tightest hook. I am very disappointed, I am returning mine and buying the voyager 520.

I just got this guy yesterday. SO far I'm loving it, it does everything it is supposed to do, and does it while being small, sleek and sexy. I had an old Jabra, but never used it because it didn't work very well; the Aliph is 10x better.

Adding Noise Assassin technology was nothing new. Jawbone v1 and v2 *BOTH* had it...it was not "added" during the version #2 upgrade.

As an owner of both the Original Jawbone and the New Jawbone, I feel that the New Jawbone lacks in a few areas that make me want to return to the Original Jawbone.

The sounds of the calls to me are not as clear or rich sounding as the Original Jawbone. New one is a little tinny sounding, and not as loud.

The new ear buds are round and block outside sounds making it harder to hear when you are not using the Jawbone. The Original Jawbone has 2 elongated ear bugs that hold in place better and yet also let you hear better when you are not using the Jawbone. They do not offer other ear buds such as the elongated ones.

The New Jawbone is much lighter and smaller, and looks better. The charging connection is far better then on the Original. I broke part of the case with the first Jawbone within a month by just getting the charging clip off like a few of other people I know. New one is magnetic and is a breeze to dis-connect.

New Jawbone has some new tones to it, and it is a nice touch. Does not make it work any better or less.

Since I cannot keep it as secure to my ear, I have to go back to the Original Jawbone, I am always dropping it out when I am working under equipment. The Original one stays put in any angle.

This bluetooth headset is fantastic. I recently purchased mine from www.lowpricememory.co.uk in the UK. The new Jawbone is so much smaller than the original. It has many of the same features, including the great noise cancelling, but overall it is a much more stylish bit of kit than its predecessor.
