Let’s face it folks, there’s nothing cutting edge about this phone. It’s just marketing hocus pocus that make folks stand in line for a “new” phone that isn’t much different than the old one, and doesn’t outperform the competition.

Lets think about a strategical value for Apple to release a (let's face it) not so innovative device. Their biggest issue right now is their legal bs with Samsung and android and it is becoming highly difficult to prove their iPhone was copied right? Well, lets see what will happen over the course of the next two years when competitors don't have anything to copy or steal from apple and see how innovative they really are?
If not and suddenly there will be a boom in the market once iPhone 6 comes out, apple will e able to safely say they truly are the market leaders and win their court cases more easily.

wow what a terribly biased review, you fail to mention the much better color saturation on the iphone 5 and the support for full sRGB on the new display. you failed to mention that it is also brighter then the previous iPhone and that now the screen is less reflective and pops out more because of the in-cell touch technology.

I cant download apps in the background or update them? where the hell did you get this from haha? i can download apps and go into a app and i can come out and the apps will be fully downloaded and installed, you dont have to wait for the apps to finish up to do your next thing on the phone.. man how did they let you review the phone if you dont even know its features and upgrades.

im confused on how you got bad battery life when The Verge and Engadget and others were able to reproduce great battery results... now i know next time to not come here and read reviews from such terrible biased reviewers..

there is no way in hell the i5 camera is NOT BETTER THen the S3 camera.. just go look at picture tests online you will see how oversaturated pictures come out on the S3, and not to mention its much worse low light performance then the iPhone 5

I agree that this is a very biased review. So what if there is no google services integration? I don’t need it, and my life is fine with out it. However it is clear that Apple is gaining its bearings after floundering in the move from google maps. I agree that iOS is a little behind in some things such letting applications run in the background but there is a good rationale for that. my employment is as technical support for a company and with frequent calls about people forgetting passwords I think it is wise to prompt for a password when updating, not to mention the added security in the even of loss. This whole android versus iOS shouldn’t be a battle because it is all about personal taste.

Biased Review.
When it comes to iPhone leading in some of its features and improvements, you tone down your compliments, but if Android Phones comes out with an upper-hand, you totally describe its differences.

This is why iPhone is still the most popular smartphone, its because people try to make a very long conversation of the things it fails to do, making people more interested about it.

Btw, how much did Android pay you for a review? LOL~~

Overall I think the phone is great. I saw a comparison of macro photos with the iPhone 5 up against the Samsung G S3 and the Samsung definitely looked like it was taking better quality shots, that was a little disappoint for me.

Regardless, the overall experience of the iPhone is still unmatched imo

The main reason iPhone 5 will get bad reviews is because they ditched the phi ratio for a larger screen. Now iPhones are not that pretty.

@Abraham Linkin: Thanks for the comment. I’ve clarified that “aging” point a bit so it’s not so vague. If you read the iOS section, I do discuss why. My reasoning for the screen width comment is also elaborated on in the text. Reviews are definitely personal opinion — there’s no way around that — but I attempt to be as objective as I can be. I agree that the iPhone 5 is a solid phone and in some ways it feels faster than the S3 and other top devices, but it’s not a clear cut answer like it was when previous iPhones came out. I’m a big fan of the phone though. I’ve been using it as my personal device.
