As an over-the-hill (63 years old) IT person at a high school, I felt the need to get a Smartphone of some sort so I could support our staff and keep up with current trends in student usage. I played around with the new IPhone which was purchased by friends and I did the same with various Blackberry models including the Bold, Storm and Tour.
The Tour won out for me because I was more comfortable is a real keyboard and the IPhone seemed more about glitz than performance.
Now I wonder how I survived without a Blackberry. The Tour is a great performer. When I’m away from my desktop station, I rarely need to even open my Netbook for e-mail or web access. The screen resolution is amazing. I need reading glasses for most work, but I can actually read the screen for quick info without whipping out the specs.

This phone is great, however, the back is designed pretty badly. The back cover to take off is impossible so you can’t get to your battery as easily and as fast as you would like.
