    this phone is god, it is the best phone i have ever had. the messaging is great, the browser is great, the camera is great. there is no better touch screen and considering its low price this phone is better than the droid. if you get the 2.0 upgrade then this is the best phone on the market. i would defiantly recommend this phone

    this was a great phone until the update on may 16 now it is not working like it used to. it was alot simpler to use before the update. my contacts that have special ringtone s don’t work it all rings on my default ringtone which i think sucks. my contacts got all screwed up and it is running slower. i also never have bars or a good connection now. i really liked this phone until the update.

    I’m with Kara. It was a great phone until the upgrade! Before the upgrade the memory card was fried. I had never touched it! Contacts never synced with Gmail. So now comes the upgrade.

    My issues now: ALL my contacts deleted from my phone, EVERY FB friend that has their phone number listed on their profile is now in my phone. Really? I don’t talk to all of them like that! My ringtones also stopped working except for my default one. Went to email someone the other day, ALL my email’s gone!

    I went and got a “like new phone.” Not even a NEW phone, I got a used replacement, yet we have a year warranty and insurance! My newest dilemma: trying to upload a video to YouTube but it says it is waiting on WiFi. Funny, the WiFi is on and getting a signal!

    I emailed HTC and was basically told that since “I” was the ONLY one having issues they would not investigate it! Really? Then I was also told it was Verizon’s or Google’s fault!! YOU did the upgrade. I am so done with this phone that when my contract is up I am switching!

    My opinion: Back your life up and don’t rely on Google or FB to keep it there when they “sync”!

    I love this phone so much. I use Facebook my email and just the internet in general and haven’t gone on the computer since I have gottan this phone.

    The battery life is iffy. I used my phone a lot one day and ran out of battery and had to charge it. But the battery life just depends on how much you use and on occasion sometimes what app you use.

    There are so many free apps that you can get on the market. I don’t think It’s worth buying apps when there is an enormous amount of apps that you can get free.

    The only thing that I am not pleased about is that the apps that come with the phone, you can’t delet or erase.

    Other than that this phone is amazing that I want to keep this phone forever.

    I strongly recommend this phone to everyone.

    The Eris is by far the worst phone I have ever owned! Phone part quits working so you miss calls and when you make a call, you can’t hear. Pocket dials constantly. The internet quits all the time and goes back to the Google page. Preloaded Facebook page doesn’t work, you tube app won’t play videos.camera and video works once in a while, when it wants to. If you hold the phone with your shoulder while talking, it will either hang up or mute. The battery doesn’t last all day. The ringer mutes itself so you don’t hear it, and the vibrate mode isn’t strong enough to feel in your pocket. The tracking ball is sporadic and the page jumps all over if you barely move the ball. The lower keys on the touchsceen don’t work if the phone is flat on a hard surface. The buttons sometimes stick and put the numbers or symbols in the +iddle (that was middle) of words! How does a touchscreen stick?? My girlfriend has the Eris and hates it more than I do. Never buy this phone!!
