I just bought your BT800; ‘Made in China.’ It’s so sad that you have a great idea, but chose to have it made by low quality manufacturing. It doesn’t seem that anyone has really QA tested this product. It does not fit on my ear or on any of my friends. I was waiting 1 month for this product, because of the features, bought it, and now I can’t return it. THe buttons and plastic are low quality. Many products coming from China have this same feel and look. Seams don’t fit together properly.
Buttons feel like they will break off in a few months of usage. Sound quality is muffled, for both parties of the call. I can’t hear, and they can’t hear me. I feel this product has never been QA tested. It’s the worst item I have bought in years. I’m very disappointed, and wish I could return it. I paid $120 after shipping, used it for 2 days, but can’t return it. Please QA test your products, and consider quality should be top priority.

I finally jumped on the bluetooth train this week … so I went out today and bought a few different bluetooth headset to try out with my new Moto V710. I really like the features on the jabra bt800.
The PROS:
** Caller I.D. on a blue screen is great.
** You can redial a previous callers number from the headset!!
** If you phone has voice dialing you can activate it from headset, a feature found on most headsets though.
** The ability to choose from a few different headset ring tones or vib mode is very cool.
** Comes with a nice carry pouch.
The CONS:
My biggest complaint is the fit and weight. It isnt as comfortable as the Moto HS820 that I’m wearing right now. If you don’t plan on wearing the headset for long periods or don’t typically make long calls then it isn’t bad.
OVERALL .. I love the features but not the fit. I’ll be returning the jabra based on the uncomfortable fit.

I just got a BT800 for $97, but I would have expected more for so much money, they could have done a much better job with this product. I like that it has an LCD screen, it is cool. I like the controls, they are handy I like the design, the USB charger and it is not heavy for my ears. I like the ring tones too and the carry on pouch BUT!… My disappointment started with having the cover panel broken off. There is only one screw holds the panel that has to take a lot of stress while you are adjustiung the volume on that wheel. Even if you get a new device, I am pretty sure it will break soon by a bit stronger push by your fingers on the jog wheel. A little better case design could have resulted a much better product. Well it did not happen…
The sound quality is also really bad compare to my Logitech headphone that was only $34. It crakles sometimes even when I stay close to the Bluetooth hub. I used it with a 1.2 hub and my laptop and whatever reason it started playing all of its ringtone periodically in every 2 minutes… I have no clue why, there is no option in the menu to change this…
So I am returning it now, it is an expensive piece of crap and not even working properly.

I am a cellular dealer in Indiana and when the new Blackberry came out for Nextel I ordered about every bluetooth 1.2 headset I could. When I tried the BT800 I was very impressed with the sound quality but this headset is very reliable. When you answer a call it takes about 3 seconds for the sound to get upto the headset. When you try to answer a call from the earpiece it works about 50% the time. Stay away from this headset. The Jabra BT250 is and Motorola HS850 are tons better.

Jabra BT800 is the most advanced bluetooth headset I had, I tried SE, Nokia and Motorola. Jabra BT800 gives you the best quality of connectivity, sound quality and user friendliness. It lets you choose you preferred headset ringtone, caller display on the headset is awesome, vibrate is a value-add.
But it is not as comfortable comparing with other Jabra’s products i.e. BT200 series, and it is so fragile. I broke the talk button after I used it for 3 weeks. You can’t hear anything when you’re in the subway, you will experience the same even in the crowd. If you think you can upgrade the firmware as it stated on the advertisement flyer/manual, it’s not true.
My suggestion if try something else, Jabra BT200 series is a good choice. I also suggest you get a Bluetooth version 1.2 complied product.

It seems to work quite well for me as I wear hearing aids, the ear and mic volume are fine as compared to the Motorola HS850, it takes a little more getting used to the controls. One feature that didn’t work with my Razr V3 was the ringtone feature, I think that was actually the phones problem as connecting to any bluetooth headset defaults to a standard ring, not selectable ringtones. Word of advice, if you use voice-dialing, it seems to work much better when you record through the headset. It is a bit larger thean the HS 850, but if your more concerned with sound quality, this headset wins out.
Overall, I like it so far….

I’ve used many headsets, most have been uncomfortable.
I just dumped a plantronics for the BT800 and the ear fit is much better.
I use this on my JasJar and also my Nokia 8800 and Mac.
It pairs with multiple devices and you choose which to use. Sweets.
It answers the JasJar immediately, voice is routed through very quickly. Voice dial is excellent and appears to work 100% for me.
It’s nice to have configurable ring tones too.
It vibrates as well !
What more could you want in a headset.
Mine came with an A/C adaptor and a USB charge cable, so I’m very happy with that setup.
I highly recommend the unit, audio is some of the best I’ve encountered.

I gave it a 5 because it does have some great functions. But what do they matter if you can’t wear it because of the pain?!
I really tried to get used to it but it was so incredibly uncomfortable that I had to take it back. It actually hurt to wear.
Maybe on a man or a large woman it would work. The ear bud is shaped so that it does not fit into your ear (at least not mine) so sound was an issue.
It also flopped way too much. It actually flew off when I turned my head too quick.
All the bells and whistles are not worth sacrificing comfort for.

I just received this headset yesterday. Ebay, $90. Came with reset stylus, AC charger and USB charger/transfer cable. This is the second one I bought â I returned the first one (from another seller) because the case was broken; case design is flimsy, no question. Confusing menus? Don’t know, just experimented for about 2 minutes, and seemed to figure everything out. After maybe 5 minutes, navigation felt intuitive. Pairing took about 10 seconds. Upgraded to firmware revision 0.322 less than 2 minutes start to finish – very easy! (user “Birdie” was clearly wrong. Upgrade is both possible and easy. My guess is that she didnât understand the âattach USB cableâ instruction). Ear pain? It hurt me a bit, but I seem to have found a comfortable position as now it’s good. Was a bit slow to answer, but after firmware upgrade it is very responsive. Firmware upgrade also added the “+” so international calls now possible. I started from 10, and decreased by 1.5 for flimsy case, and 1.5 for poor ear fit. Everything else amazing. Note that some have retrofitted the ear bud from older Jabra headset onto this one and it apparently does a really good job. Did not receive a “case” as others have described. Screen is great!!!

Just received my BT800 in mail 4 weeks after online purchase for $80. I received a European cord for charging the headset (spoke with seller and they are sending a US adapter for it. No problem, I just plugged the headset into my computer with the USB cable that came with the unit. The problem I was faced with was how to wear the darn thing. I figured that out and now it stays in place even when I’m running, dancing or turning my head sharply. It was not a problem switching the headset from the right to the left. And now it takes a second or two to put it on. I listen to tunes from my smartphone through the headset and found the sound to be acceptably clear. I like the layout of the product’s buttons and screen. The easy of operation of the key buttons was a breeze. I have not had any problems in using the piece, but I must admit I wish it was built with less vinyl materials, of course that would mean more money.

Hi,
Just about like everybody else, I too, bought my headset from ebay. Upon upgrading the firmware, the unit froze. I attempted to re-set the headset but it would not respond. I contacted Jabra.com and asked if they would replace unit. Jabra declined and said that any third party selling would void any warranty that Jabra had on the BT800 and others so please beware and read the warranty agreement before purchasing of ebay. Jabra, I am only too disappointed in your lack of warranty coverage regardless of where the headset is purchased…boo to you. Not Reccommended, $80.00 down the drain! Thanks JABRA!!!

Have a BT 800 which worked for a awhile and then quit. Functions when plugged in but goes dead upon unplugging charger. Sent to Canadian Jabra shop for repair or replacement . Returned to me same unit I suspect and was still non functional. Yes I did all the resets, talked to Jabra tech support and it still doesn’t work.
