I am pleased with the various features of the Tundra. However I took the first one back because the screen ovvsdopnslly froze on “Good bye.” Had to remove battary to turn it fully off. Replacement phone does the same thing. If you never plan to turn if fully off, it is a great phone.

My phone is the Rodgers version (Canada) and it works well even where most phones don’t the camera is not great but takes good pics for the size. The photo viewer works excellent, the zoom and pan work better than any other I have had. It is water resistant for the main body of the phone, but if you drop it in a puddle, water can get into the screen and camera, making it a useless phone….. unless you have activated the speaking menus then you can call and use your phone book without looking. It is a fairly robust phone but not up to the hype. The screen still has a flimsy hinge (worse than the razor) and seams easy to break. The body is tough, and even if you do sink it, your sim card and mem chip will be safe.

Works great as a phone. Calls are heard loud and clear, as long as the earpiece is placed exactly in the right place over your ear. I have the Rogers version with the “branded” software. The main soft keys are hard coded – the left for the mobile mail app and the right for the “Rogers” music player. This phone is hardly ideal for either of theses apps — how dare Rogers bind these to their profit generators. It would have been nice to use a soft key to bring up the contacts; as it stands you either have to go through a menu (not convenient and a problem when driving) or you have to bind it to a navigation key. However with the navigation keys, it easy to press the wrong key. For example, it’s fairly easy to hit the internet key by accident, causing data charges.
Rogers’ unlimited browser plan does not let you use the mobile mail app – which is hard coded to the left soft key – again more data charges.
The music player is tied into Rogers music store and songs are DRM encoded — relatively useless.
You cannot turn off the 3G, needlessly reducing battery life.
No push to talk feature with Rogers.
It’s a little more rugged than your average phone but it’s not bullet proof and it certainly is not waterproof (can only withstand a light rain, nothing more).
It’s only useful as a phone but is way overpriced for that — you could get several “disposable” pay as you go phones for this price.

I have only had the Tundra a couple of weeks and am having trouble with it not waking up. Persons on the other end will call and it will take 5 – 6 rings on their end before my phone rings. On the second phone and it has the same problem. Other than that it is a great phone.

I’ve had this phone for about 6 months and am not happy with it. The screen will freeze on “Good bye” every time the phone is turned off manually or because the battery has run low. The only solution is to remove the battery cover, pop out the battery, reinsert the battery, replace the cover, and then try turning it on. It takes a very long time for the software to load and for the phone to turn back on. I have to go through this at least 2 times a week.
I’ve research the topic online and found that many users of this phone complain of the same problem. Even those who were provided with a replacement phone continue to experience this glitch.
I bought this phone because it was advertised as rugged. Yet, when it slipped from my hand and fell to the floor, the mini display screen cracked. The phone was still under warranty so I called AT&T (where I bought this phone) and complained that I require a rugged phone. I was told that nothing could be done since I dropped the phone. It was my fault. I would have expected better performance from a rugged phone.
