I love mine. I use it all the time and no one has complained about the sound or interference.

    Hi,

After using this headset for couple of days I can fully agree with all the positive mentioned in the review.

    Comfort:

Previously I owned the Plantronics Discovery 640 and Nokia BH 900 headsets and Voyager 520 is most comfortable of all them. It really doesn’t irritate even after 5 hour continues use (while driving) where, with Discovery 640, although it was also quite comfortable, I felt some pain in the ear after using it for such a period of time. Nokia headset I would call far from comfortable.

    Sound:

The sound quality is very good indeed and I didn’t have any complaints re. volume or voice reproduction on other end. I have not tested the noise cancellation very much as mostly I use the headset while driving or in office. Overall I would say that sound is slightly better than my old Discovery 640.

    Construction:

Good without comments. Discovery range has changeable ear buds but that also decreases durability over the time as ear bud connectors are plastic and they are wearing out in course of time. Therefore, I have concluded that I don’t miss changeable ear buds.

    Comments re. charging base:

Don’t be put off by the comments in review re. difficulties assembling charging base. In my case I did it in less than a minute after taking all the pieces out of the packaging. Also note that headset can be charged without charging base by simply plugging it to the charger connector.

I like my Bluetooth headset, but I cannot get it to redial. The ear loop is somewhat hard.

I used the 520 for about a week and though it has excellent sound quality, it does not have the ability to initiate calls from the Bluetooth device. I have a Motorola 850 as well and find that I can hit the button on the Motorola and I can speech dial, the 520 I have to initiate the call from my phone which is a safety concern while I’m driving.

I have had 3 different Bluetooth headsets before this Plantronics, and it is by far the best. This review summed everything up very well, I don’t have much more to add to it. It is worth the money!

Everyone that sells this item claims it has “redial last number”.

I don’t see that feature… or see it mentioned in the manual.

I have a small issue with 90% of all headsets out there that comes from the shape of my ear. the little cartilage by the ear canal (the tragus) in my ear is very small and does not retain most headsets or earbud headphones. this headset does not rely on your ear to retain the piece and for me fits perfectly and does not even move when I go running. the ear loop, while only plastic/rubber and not adjustable, is far more comfortable than that on my motorola with a similar design. I’ve had this earpiece in now for about 5 hours straight and honestly have forgotten I was wearing it a few times.

As for other reviews, redial is simple: push the button twice. so is voice activated calling: hold the button 2 sec. then give the voice command. I’m not sure if this has changed as mine did not come with the home base but rather a car holder (that clips to an A/C vent) that is cheap but convenient. I do not know if this is the new packaging or if someone had previously returned the headset and kept it but from the box, it appears the car holder is the new standard.

Pairing was incredibly easy. power on, automatically went into pairing mode, bluetooth search on phone and connect. it took longer for the bluetooth on my motorola phone to activate than for it to connect to the earpiece.

As for the quality, a medium sound level is perfect for me in my truck on the freeway with the music on low. I had a motorola previously that had to be turned up full with no music at all that was still hard to hear sometimes. this one gives fantastic quality – so much so that I’ve made a dozen calls with it and have had 4 people ask if I had purchased a new phone because the quality was so much better than even my calls using no earpiece at all.

I have had it on my ear for the last 2 days. I use it for work and private use and have made and received a lot of calls on this machine. No complaints, it does everything that I want it to do, including redial last number, handle 2 phones etc. Most comfortable, and I actually don’t realize that I am wearing it sometimes.
