The author apparently does not care for WM 6.5, which is fine. However, to suggest the other phones are superior (Hero, Pre, etc) is non-sense. He fails to mention that the Intrepid is an unlocked WORLD phone with over 20,000 real apps available. Microsoft Office apps (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) run great. Syncing is easy with Outlook and Exchange (the best in the world actually) and it sports the new TELLME app that can text with speech. No other phone on the market can do that.
If one does not care the for the WM interface, then download SPB Mobile Shell 3.5. It has more customization than the Android. IE 6 browser to slow, download Skyfire or Opera Mini. Take phone as a modem to a new level with WMWifirouter app. That allows up to 5 other computer connections to run through the Intrepid.
One does not have to use the stylus at all. Just shows the flexibility of the OS. And it helps to keep the screen clean if you do. Have you seen some of those Iphone screens after a couple of days (horrible).
This phone is an 8 easy. The Blackberry Tour doesn’t have WiFi, touchscreen, nav keys, TELLME app or Microsoft Office. What’s to compare at this price range for a world phone ? NOTHING!
