This phone is slick. By far the best phone I have ever used and I have used allot of them. Very small, great looking, PDA, windows media player, surfing the internet at WIFI speeds…I could go on and on but this phone packs ALLOT for its size. I love having the memory card under the battery. It’s so small anyhow that I would lose it if I could pop it all the time.

I like the SDA. I really do. Your review states that it is an entry-level phone, but it is pretty much the only Smartphone you’ll get that has WM5 – competition isn’t exactly very hot in the Smartphone market. And do tell, which other smartphone has more features than this one? Doesn’t exactly qualify as an entry-level phone in my opinion.

Anyway, usability is ok, this phone could have used a slide formfactor to get some bigger buttons. And you guys forgot the address book, simply the best address book on the market.

So its good for basic phone functions as well the very advanced functions – but midrange functions like setting an alarm etc get left by the wayside.

I enjoy my SDA. I bought it when my V330 got lost, and aside from the small keypad and abysmal internal memory space, I really couldn’t be happier. Definitely not a phone you should buy if you’re looking more towards text-messaging and Mobile Messenging (AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, and MSN are all supported, although it seems MSN requires a GPRS/EDGE connection to work properly, or WiFi), but worth it if you’re looking to explore what Windows Mobile can do. I second, third, and fourth what everyone’s said about the button size really sucking all the life out of this phone. I can almost touch-type my Zaurus, but trying to deal with the button size on this phone is nearly impossible. And I do have a couple complaints with its phone capabilities, although I think these are more region/carrier related: Occasionally during calls, I’ll recieve a brief “glurp” sound which will go away as suddenly as it comes. Also, I only seem to get 1 warning if I have voicemails, and if I get an SMS message, the warning disappears, and there isn’t really an icon that lights up and says “YOU HAVE VOICEMAIL, STUPID!”.

All in all, a decent phone, especially if you’re trying to brave the waters of WM5. But not for the typical user of, say, a Sidekick. Sidekick users looking to get more PIM functionality should definitely get the MDA.

I have had a T Mobile SDA for about 14 months. I just wish that I could hear it

better(frustrating). Also extremely limited with download capabilities. T Mobile should REALLY offer a very few FREE (Ringtones?)downloads to its long term good customers that pay top dollar for service, OTHER providers do….

I am otherwise pretty happy with my smartphone……and continue to shop around with my EYES OPEN. Thanks for letting me voice my opinion

The phone has bad reception and sound quality. I will have no signal on the SDA then take my sim card and put it in another phone to have a clear signal. I have tried this many times to find the same results.
