Parrot updates their AR.Drone with the AR.Drone 2 which adds an HD video camera and more intuitive controls.
The quadracopter from Parrot always garners considerable attention at trade shows and the new AR.Drone 2 is no exception. The mechanics of the latest iteration haven’t changed much with the new iteration but the optics have.
The Drone 2 now uses a 720p HD camera to shoot aerial footage that it sends back to the iPad, iPhone or Android device controlling it via Wi-Fi. The app that controls the copter now allows for sharing video online and even finds nearby AR.Drone users to view their videos.
We have a few more details and photos and live video from CES of the AR.Drone 2. Check them out here.
