OnLive is getting into the cloud service and remote desktop hosting business with their new OnLive Desktop app.
OnLive is adding to their streaming business with the OnLive Desktop which will be available on the Apple iPad. It’ll also be available for Windows 7 in a free version that comes with 2GB of cloud storage and 3 basic Office apps (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) – there are some limitations though.
The “OnLive Desktop Pro” pack fixes those limitations. For $10 a month users get priority access, 50 GB of cloud storage and can browse the web and install apps on the virtual Windows 7 desktop along with other “OnLive-unique” features. An Enterprise version for businesses will be available. The iPad version of the app supports touch-based controls for Windows.
