Klipsch’s Stadium sounds as big as it costs

Klipsch showed us some impressive audio products this year at CES, including the rather expensive Stadium, which sounded impressive enough to get us drooling.

We always have a fun time visiting Klipsch at CES, and this year was no exception. The company – which also oversees the Energy and Jamo brands – has been steadily expanding its product line to include expensive, luxury audio systems, high-performance home theater solutions and an array of  headphones. This year, Klipsch made good on its promise to deliver its Stadium wireless audio system, and surprised us with a portable, wireless boombox. 

In our video interview with Mark Cassavant, Klipsch’s Senior VP of Product Development, we get details on the seriously impressive (and, at $2000, expensive)  Stadium – which has seen some updates since its early concept phase – and ask why in the world the company would choose to harken back to the 1980’s by designing its otherwise cutting-edge portable boombox to run on 8 D-Cell batteries instead of the more popular rechargeable option.
