Hands on: Martian Watches blend analog and digital lifestyles

We go hands on with Martian Watches voice-controlled bluetooth watches at CES 2013.

Most of the smartwatches we saw at CES this year are decidedly digital with LCD faces, apps, and other bells and whistles. There’s still room in the category for something with a more classic feel – at least that’s what the folks behind the Martian voice-controlled watch are hoping for. These timepieces feature analog clock faces with a tiny display tucked in at the bottom. The screen shows incoming calls, texts, and other notifications. The watch itself connects to your phone via Bluetooth and operates on voice command. The blend of traditional and digital is particularly well done here.

Martian watches are compatible with both iOS and Android devices and come in a variety of styles. The company is taking pre-orders now and promising delivery by March of this year.
