It’s no secret that Samsung has a serious presence in the consumer electronics world. The massive Korean company has dipped its toes into just about every major CE market out there: Phones, laptops, cameras, and even home appliances like refrigerators and washing machines. But it’s not stopping there — now Samsung is jumping headfirst into the household robotics market.
Autonomous robotic vacuum cleaners definitely aren’t a new idea (iRobot first introduced the Roomba over ten years ago), but what’s special about Samsung’s Smart Tango Corner Clean is the inclusion of a pop-out brush that allows the circular bot to easily reach corners. It’s a nifty addition, but we’re not sure it’s enough to avoid a patent battle with iRobot in the future.
