AMD3D reviews the AMD XP2600+ T-Bred VS XP2600+ Barton processor. Is it a match for Intel?

quote from the review at AMD3d.com:

“At the beginning of September AMD released a new processor for their existing Barton range. Not another high-end processor to top their existing XP3200+ Barton, but surprising slipping it in between the popular XP2500+and XP3000+. This processor was released as a XP2600+ Barton.

Confusing, isn’t it? So far there have been two different AMD Athlon XP 2600+ chips based on the Thoroughbred core ¡V clocked at 2133MHz with 266MHz FSB and functioning at 2083MHz with 333MHz bus ¡V both with 256KB of L2 cache. The today¡¦s newcomer does not feature really high core-clock, but has 512KB of L2 and 333MHz EV-6 FSB. The new AMD Athlon XP 2600+ is made using 0.13 micron technology, utilizes 1.65V VCore, and consumes up to 68.30W of power.

Today, we’ll be looking at an XP2600+ Barton and compare it’s performance against an XP2600+ T-Bred B.”
