Judge stops guilty plea by ex-AOL employee, questioning the anti-spam law.
A federal judge has refused to accept a guilty plea from a former America Online employee accused of selling the Internet provider’s customer list to a “spammer,” saying he was unsure a crime had been committed.
The judge is unsure whether the actions by the ex-AOL employee, who is accussed of selling AOL’s customer list to a spammer, rose to the level requred by a new anti-spam law.
