AOL Announces Open AIM Platform
Online service details plans to allow developers and others access to tools which will let them build custom AIM clients and plug-ins for free.
AOL yesterday announced a new initiative which invites developers, online communities and sites and services to develop tools based upon the AIM platform. Enrollment in the Open AIM program and use of the AIM Software Development Kit for developing non-enterprise instant messaging solutions with up to 250,000 log-ins per day or two million log-ins per month is free.
