AppleTards and Apple are Hypocrites. This is ANOTHER Pathetic activity by Stevie Gods and his band of A-Holes in Stupertino. Just like Obama has turned this election into a racewar, Apple's activities like this and those lying TV and Magazine Ads will turn PC users (95% market) into more aggressive Apple haters. Just when will MS start fighting back?

And pray tell, how large is the type in the alert box that informs Firefox users that their searches are being directed through Google in return for revenue? Call me old fashioned, but something like that seems far more likely to undermine trust than a straightforward plug for one's own products.

If you want me to trust you, Mr LIlly, you'll first have to stop playing games like that.

Romel, I think by default its set to download and you wouldn't know it. It's through the auto update feature.

As a user, I want to be informed. So having the Safari download offered to me during an Apple software update process is a positive service rather than something nefarious. As long as I have the option to accept or decline, then its okay with me.

I believe iTunes needs Quicktime for video playback and and I think conversion of audio files (hence ripping a cd.)

This is news because its a web browser, they have been pushing quicktime from the start.

And this is total BS in my opinion. Apple is using spyware tactics here.

This isn't exactly new; they've been pushing QuickTime out by default with iTunes all along, even though one doesn't need QT to run iTunes (nor does it provide any benefit I'm aware of).
