Are Americans Suspect of Blogs?
In a survey conducted by web hosting company Hostway the company found out that people are a little wary of blogs in general.
According to Arstechnica:
“The results are somewhat contradictory. For example, 52% said that bloggers should be given the same protections as journalists, but at the same time, greater percentages were in favor of quasi-censorship of such blogs. 80% of those surveyed said that bloggers should not publish personal information about people, but those objections are slightly less when celebrities and politicians are concerned, however.”
It was announced earlier this week that policitical bloggers would be granted the same journalism rights and protections as companies like CNN and Reuters.
