Microsoft Corp. said on Friday that it had settled a patent dispute with AT&T Corp. over digital speech technology.
Microsoft, based in Redmond, Washington, settled most of the claims AT&T lodged in a lawsuit against the world’s largest software maker “by making a payment,” the companies said in a statement.
Both parties also “agreed to appeal a single issue (in the lawsuit) to the Federal Circuit, with another payment contingent on the outcome of the appeal.”
