A relative newcomer to the multimedia game, Chinese-based HiVi has created in the Swans M10 a three-piece speaker system that not only garners attention for its sophisticated looks but for its equally sophisticated sound. Indeed, there’s a certain elegance to the unit that one doesn’t often find in the budget PC speaker market. It’s not surprising then, that HiVi specializes not in cheapo PC speakers but in studio monitors. A better bet for the gentle nuances of jazz music than the extreme highs and lows of a computer game, the Swans M10 are recommended to those who don’t think midrange is a lost art.
