Logitech Z-4, $69.99 – $83.66 (buy it now)
Logitech makes more, and sells more, computer-oriented speaker sets than any other manufacturer. It’s been that way for quite some time, and we see no reason it will change in the foreseeable future. And for good reason – Logitech delivers plenty of bang for the buck.
There’s no shortage of choices in the Logitech speaker line-up, and though we prefer the monstrous bass of its bestselling Z-2300, we ultimately selected the Z-4 due to our price ceiling. A solid three-piece setup, the Z-4 consists of two satellites (each with one active and two pressure drivers), one rather large subwoofer cabinet featuring a substantial eight-inch driver, and a wired remote with controls for power, volume, sub level, and headphone and auxiliary input connections. That you can get all of this and powerful, room-filling sound for online prices approaching the $70 mark is a good deal in anyone’s books.
