Data shows that Bing is continuing to grow and increase its market share in the search stakes.
Whatever your opinion about Bing, Microsoft’s rebranded search, the facts are that it’s growing in use.
New figures from comScore reveal that in the week of June 8-12, Bing hit a 12.1% share of search, with a 16.7% daily search penetration level. That’s up from an 11/3% share the week before, and 9.1% just before it became Bing.
comScore senior vice president Mike Hurt said:
"It appears that Microsoft Bing has continued to generate interest from the market for the second consecutive week.”
"These early data reflect a continued positive market reaction to Bing in the initial stages of its launch.”
Microsoft must be smiling, given how much it’s been staking on raising its search profile.
