Chaintech 9CJS ZENITH motherboard review

HardOCP reviews the 9CJS Zenith motherbaord from Chaintech. Chaintech has included almost every imaginable feature with the 9CJS ZENITH including Envy-24 sound.

Quote from the review:

“Chaintech has been around for years and have really gotten aggressive in the enthusiast market (for the second time since the BX days) only since last summer. Clearly you can tell they are going all out trying to snag every sale they have the opportunity to, simply by looking at the included goodies. I would highly suggest that implementation of most of the extras would go a long way in making the board a little less expensive.

Speaking of expense, that is one thing this board has. While I did not spend a ton of time looking, we could not find the Chaintech 9CJS Zenith anywhere for under US$250. That is simply an incredible amount of money for a mainboard, no matter how you slice it. For the consumer, it is simply going to come down to how much all the extras are worth to you. If you are a person that uses nothing but the mainboard out of the box and throws the rest away, this is obviously not your solution. However, if you do find a great value in the added features, it is highly likely that the Chaintech 9CJS Zenith might be a really good investment for the mainstream OCer. ” ~Kyle Bennett

Our thoughts: When it comes to the hardcore computer user, $250 for a motherboard is really nothing. People are spending upwards of $399 to have a state of the art video card which will be outdated 6 months later. It all comes down to how much the motherboard will overclock, the features it has and whether it is stable or not, and it certinaly looks like the 9CJS ZENITH board from Chaintech has all that and then some.
