Dell Intros 2.4 Pound Mobile Projector

New projector from Dell uses latest in DLP technology and has three adjustable feet for variations in height.

Dell is bringing a new mobile projector to the market which they hope to target towards on the go professionals who don’t want to be weighed down. The 3400MP, priced at $1,399, hits the scales at a mere 2.4 pounds and will appear in store shelves on North America on June 28.

The 3400MP has three adjustable feet for variations in height and to help provide increased stability. It comes equipped with automatic vertical keystone correction technology, which Dell says will help to ensure images are always perfectly rectangular.

On the projection side, the 3400MP uses the latest in DLP technology and projects native XGA resolution (1024 x 768), automatically adjusting to accommodate the source device’s resolution. It features a brightness of 1,500 ANSI lumens and a contrast ratio of 2100:1.

Other notable features of the 3400MP include an audio out port, integrated zoom lens, fully functional remote control, 3000 hour 156-watt lamp and a maximum projection distance of just over 32 feet.

“Road warriors are demanding presentation tools that are light and easy to carry, but don’t have heavy price-tags,” said Gerry Smith, vice president of Dell Displays. “Dell has responded by delivering the 3400MP Projector, which offers the ultimate balance of performance and portability at a breakthrough price.”

More information on the Dell 3400MP can be found at Dell’s website.
