Dell Sponsors Solar Car Race

Students from the US and Mexico compete today in the 10th annual Dell-Winston School Solar Car Race.

Over 180 students have been chosen to participate in the Dell-Winston Solar Car Challenge.  The starting line is in Dell’s headquarters in Round Rock, TX, and will take the racers through New Mexico and Arizona, ending up at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena CA.  Nine teams have had a year to perfect their designs.

Racers use technology donated by Dell in their vehicles.  The entire race is being tracked via GPS and wireless technology, with live updates are available on the web.
