Fashion Your Firefox

Mozilla has come up with a new way for Firefox users to get their add-ons, fashioned around themes.

Mozilla says there are around five thousand separate add-ons for the Firefox browser, and over a billion add-ons have been downloaded to date. So now they’ve come up with Fashion Your Firefox, a novel tool to provide users with a custom set of add-ons.

Are you into music? Try the ‘Rock Star’ bundle, as a way to listen to and discover new music. There are also bundles for Decorators, Social Butterflies and others. It’s cute, but also fairly practical, according to David Rolnitzky, program manager in charge of add-ons for Firefox.

"In essence, it’s like having a shopping cart that you can use to select any add-on from the Fashion Your Fox collection, ‘check-out’ with just one click, and after a quick Firefox restart, have a whole new browser that’s made just for you."

Someone has organized some Fx add-ons into categories (not really 'bundles', as they're not tied together in any way), and you can individually select some add-ons from each category (there is no "select all" for a category).
The benefit here is being able to browse add-ons more efficiently, without as much noise, at the cost of narrow selection; and being able to download/install multiple selected add-ons in one action.

'and after a quick Firefox restart'?

Mhm... after all 83 tabs are closed and then reloaded... and after all my extensions reinitialize themselves...
