Fear of Spyware Changing Online Habits

A study from the Pew Internet and American Life Project says Internet users are avoiding specific Web sites, screening attachments, and changing browsers to stay away from spyware.

A report published Wednesday from the Pew Internet and American Life Project indicates Internet users are increasingly wary of spyware and viruses affecting their computer systems, and that nine out of ten Internet users have modified their behavior to avoid intrusions. Furthermore, some 43 percent of those surveyed reported they have had spyware or adware on their home computers
