We try our luck with this new Lenovo hybrid device—the IdeaPad U1.
After fiddling with the IdeaPad U1’s beautiful touchscreen display, we think this new hybrid device may be one of the coolest devices we’ve seen in a while. The new Lenovo hybrid device is a slate tablet running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon ARM CPU and the Skylight Linux interface when a user removed from its notebook frame, and then if you dock it back into the clamshell it seamlessly switches back to a Windows 7 operating system, running on an Intel Core 2 Duo U4100 processor. The new Lenovo notebook/tablet will ship in June 2010 and is priced at $999.
