Referring to the above linked article, it looks like that they have proved that it was user error instead of a google drive issue. The author created a link that directed guests to his file in google drive. A commenter even found an archived version of the article that proved that he had mistakenly setup the link wrong. The author still claims he didn't change anything on his article but says everything seems to find now.

Great article and using Google Drive based on the descriptions you gave, it has been a good experience. I use Google cloud storage primarily for storing my data but after reading this, I started exploring third party integrations with Google and found its integration with GroupDocs document management solution. Working with docs has never been easier. Thanks!

You should also check this out and review this integration. You will find more information on it here:
http://groupdocs.com/blog/groupdocs-document-management/archive/2013/02/15/integration-of-groupdocs-document-management-solutions-with-google-cloud-storage.html

Thanks for reading Danvelyn! And in regards to your question - Google Drive is generally pretty good with user data, but I've also heard about some users having trouble with it recently. Here's an article from PandoDaily that explains it pretty well: http://pandodaily.com/2013/02/19/the-day-that-google-drive-broke-my-trust/

I cam across this piece quite by accident. I needed to know about Drive, so I "googled" 'How to use Drive" and Drew's brief tutorial came up. Thanks, Drew. Should I be worried about privacy in the cloud?
