HP has announced the launch of two limited-edition notebooks developed in conjunction with Rossignol, the mountain lifestyle brand for snow sports fans.

The HP Pavilion dv6 Rossignol edition notebooks complement the Rossignol skis and accessories, bringing the look and feel of Rossignol to the dv6.

Jean-Pierre LeCalvez, vice-president, marketing, HP Personal Systems Group, EMEA, said: “Winter sports fans are looking for new ways to express their style and make a statement. Performance technology sits at the heart of the snow sports lifestyle, so it’s logical to extend the Rossignol design ethos to the new HP Pavilion dv6 Rossignol edition. It delivers great design and reliable performance with software to help share experiences and stay connected.”

Rossignol is committed to being eco friendly and has ensured that the same care has gone into developing these lapstops with HP. The team has ensured that the notebook’s packaging is printed with soy/water based inks and made with recycled materials.

The HP dv6 Rossignol Edition Laptops come with Intel Core i5 processor, 15.6″ LED HP Brightview display, 500GB hard drive, 4 USB 2.0 ports and DVD-RW Drive.

Yann Laphin, Rossignol Group International Communication Director, said: “For all winter sports enthusiasts, Rossignol is the true legendary brand. We share common values with HP such as technological leadership and a passion for innovation. This year we’ve taken our partnership a step further and co-created the striking new HP Pavilion dv6 Rossignol edition notebooks. A perfect accessory to our ski collection, stylish without compromising on quality or performance, we’re confident these notebooks will be on many of our customers’ wish-lists this season.”

Europeans will be the first to be able to take advantage of these limited-edition laptops. Starting in January they will be available with pricing beginning at 699 Euros. No news on if and when the HP dv6 Rossignol laptops will be made available in North American markets.

  1. Truefrench at 10:59am 19th December 2010 I'd love to get one of these...I have a dv7 1000 series(Vista) now and it's a touch on the heavy and awkward side. My last name is Rossignol(absolutely no relation), so it'd also be a real neat thing to own for that reason as well. If the power and speed are near the same or better than mine, tight money situation would be the only thing keeping me from making a new purchase. Jeepers..maybe every person with the Rossignol surname should get a FREE one, lol.
