HP, Philips, and NEC Shift Their Businesses

Hewlett-Packard is dissolving global operations and laying off another 15,000 employees; Philips is ditching its chip business and NEC pulls out of Europe's PC market.

  1. Ian Bell and Dan Gaul at 9:15am 21st June 2006 Ok 15,300 employees is insane. It's time to stop boycotting their product people. Until they realize they need to take better care of people, there is not reason to take care of HP.

    It's sad to see Philips struggling too, especially after seeing their chip business strong in year's past.
