Too Bad you are using LG, who are notorious for NOT supporting their own products and whose warranty is a total joke. In fact, once you buy an LG product, you are essentially screwed even if it is "under their warranty". I have PROOF, if you are interested with one of their DL DVD Writers they refused to service. The day after I bought it and found it totally a piece of crap. I wrote numerous times and called their customer service department, which was a joke, to no avail - only empty promises after they make you feel like you need to kiss their back-ends first. Once that is done, they dump you in the trash as far as helping you is concerned. I am still waiting for my replacement unit and it has been well over a year now and more emails and calls than I can count.

My suggestion is that you find a company that ACTUALLY stands behind their products rather than just SAYING they stand behind them. But first pick a company that has products that work... then pick one that actually has a customer service department that doesn't all need to be in the unemployment line!

By the way, I still have that DVD-DL if you want it... you can have it, free, never used, because it never worked!
