Intel Declares No Wi-Fi In New Chipset
Intel has decided that Wi-Fi will not be available in the 915/925X Grantsdale chipset.
Intel sites “the prevalence of low-cost access points available from third parties” for the reason Wi-Fi wont be included in the Grantsdale chipset.
“Basically we talked to a lot of OEM customers, and they told us that they didn’t need this feature at this point,” said spokesman Dan Snyder. “So many wireless APs are out there, and they’re essentially free” when purchased in conjunction with DSL or cable service from an ISP, he said
