I/OMagic Debuts New Network Hard Drive

The 300 GB EZ NetShare is compatible with Windows-based PCs and allows for sharing of files and folders across a network.

I/OMagic, a maker of data storage products, today announced a new external network hard drive unit focused towards home network users. The EZ NetShare, said the company, is priced at $299.99.   The EZ NetShare hard drive, which sports 300 GB of storage space and is compatible with Windows based PCs, connects via Ethernet to a network to serve as a data or media server. Features of this product include shared files and folders, data password protection and USB 2.0 stand alone storage device functionality.   “The EZ NetShare drive is the user friendly solution to your high capacity data storage and networking needs,” said Don Wallis, vice president of Marketing for I/OMagic Corporation. “Now you can securely share storage space on a home or office network without a costly server. The growing popularity of sharing cable and DSL connections within the home creates a large number of new home networks that are perfect for this new technology.”
