It's not always about stealing. There is such a thing as stealing cable or stealing a service, but it can be dealt with these days. In most cases it is simply people like you giving your wife, or a girlfriend, or a friend, or a family member, login info. Especially considering that with digital services/goods there seems to be no good way to share anything, sharing logins is one of the only ways to actually share. You can't hand your wife a CD of Pandora.

The problem with the law, from what I've read of it, is that it is vague, which means it could be used to target individuals. I'd like to say that the RIAA and MPAA would never do that, but, well….
