Louie Sulcer of Woodstock, Georgia gets a $10,000 iTunes Gift Card for purchasing "Guess Things Just Happen That Way," by Johnny Cash. Ba-dum ba-dum.

There’s no doubt that Apple’s iTunes Music Store is a runaway success—it’s the long since been the top music retailer, long since having bested Amazon and Walmart in terms of sales. And now the iTunes Store has crossed another threshold: it just sold its 10 billionth song. The track was “Guess Things Happen That Way,” by Johnny Cash—and following up on its promise earlier this month, Louie Sulcer of Woodstock, Georgia will receive a $10,000 iTunes gift card for buying the 10 billionth track.

“We’re grateful to all of our customers for helping us reach this amazing milestone,” said Apple VP of Internet services Eddy Cue, in a statement. “We’re proud that iTunes has become the number one music retailer in the world, and selling 10 billion songs is truly staggering.”

Apple reached the 1 billion track milestone almost exactly four years ago.
