Yeah we know these speakers are just plain weird looking, but from what we have heard (no pun intended) they are pretty killer.
Quote from the JBL Creature 2.1 speaker review at Hardware Zoom:
“The coolest stuff here must be the “capacitance touch” volume control. To adjust the volume, all you have to do is to place your finger gently over the button. You do not have to press those buttons. Just place your finger over it will do. The volume button will sense your finger and will adjust the volume accordingly. And do not try to use other objects. It will not work. The Creature only loves your fingers. ”
Our take: JBL sure maked some weird looking computer speakers. We reviewed their Invader speakers a while ago and although they looked just as weird, they kicked some major butt. I believe the Creature speakers are somewhat old now, so you should have no problems finding them for a good price.
