Kingston Intros 15-in-1 Media Card Reader

New 15-in-1 memory card reader supports USB 2.0 and can get data transfer rates of up to 480Mbps.

Kingston Technology today announced a new media card reader which supports USB 2.0. The Kingston 15-in-1 Hi-Speed Reader is available now for $19.

The Kingston 15-in-1 Hi-Speed Reader, the company said, is designed to support 15 types of digital memory cards at USB 2.0 data transfer rates of up to 480Mbps. Memory card formats supported by this reader, which draws its power from the USB connection, include CompactFlash I and II, Secure Digital, miniSD, microSD (adapter required), MMC, MMCmicro (adapter required), MMCmobile, MMCplus, RS-MMC, Microdrive, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick PRO Duo and Smart Media.

Ian Bell and Dan Gaul at 12:28pm 17th November 2005 I would love something like this that goes into the computer case, black would be preferrable. I am tired of plugging things into my USB ports on the outside, I have too many things on the desk now!

For those companies that do Pictures and want to DEAL with digital formats, this would be wonderful.
For those persons that have cameras and data on DIFFERENT format canera and such..This could be cool.
I think it would be better with a USB passthru to attach FLASH cards tho.
