Memorex Adds New TravelDrive

Newest portable USB hard drive from digital media company features 4GB of storage and a form factor smaller than a two-inch square.

Memorex, a maker of digital media and media accessories products, today announced a new member in their line of TravelDrive portable storage devices. The 4GB Mega TravelDrive will be in stores in October for $149.99.   The Mega TravelDrive, said Memorex, is smaller than a two-inch square, measuring 1.75” x 1.96” x .56”. It comes with a pivoting USB 2.0 connector and can store more than 8,000 digital photos, 1,200 MP3s or tens of thousands of text files. It has a platinum finish and features a blue LED indicator that flashes during data transfer.   It also comes bundled with a black carrying pouch and USB cable.   “The Mega TravelDrive delivers high capacity, portable USB storage in an unbelievably small form factor,” said Allen H. Gharapetian, vice president of marketing and product development for Memorex. “This product offers the best cost-per-megabyte ratio compared to other portable storage solutions of this size.”
