Microsoft Gives Wrong Windows 7 Beta Expiration Date

It's July 1, not June 1, as the company originally informed users via email. Oops.
For those of you still using the Microsoft Windows 7 beta, you might well be thinking it expires on Monday. After all, that’s what the company said in an email it sent, informing users that the OS would start shutting down every two hours, so users should begin updating to the more recent release candidate build or head on back to Windows Vista.
However, that’s not quite right. The company is apologizing for a slight slip – they actually meant July 1. The beta will expire completely on August 1, and all beta copies will become “not genuine.”
The release candidate, however, is good until March next year.
