I'm so glad that I build my own pcs... and when I don't, I have someone custom build one for me. It's so ridiculous how many software packages/bundles these companies try to have pre-installed on a consumer's pc.

What the hell happened to allowing the consumer the choice of what's on their pc or even having the opportunity to just barebone it? Windows XP/Vista are already bloated enough, without these addon packages... and most of the hardware packages you can buy in-store are typically bare minimum, forcing the user to upgrade when they want to play any game that's worth while or for those that have extensive multimedia requirements.

Let the consumer make the decision of what search engine to use... Hell, let the consumer make the decision of what web browser and e-mail application they want installed, etc.

It's just getting ridiculous and overly bloated now days.
